About the Author

Nubar Aronian was born in Cairo, Egypt, at the end of World War II, the Armenian Christian family. After graduating from Cairo University Faculty of Architecture in 1967, Aroyan plans to emigrate and join his brother in America. But instead it was designed in the Egyptian army in 1968, along with thousands of other colleges in the President’s decision to resume Nassers his army to prepare for the next war with Israel, the Yom Kippur / Ramadan war of October 1973. Entering its fifth year of compulsory military service in September 1972 and in despair, he planned and managed to escape from the army and the country, and came to America to join his brother. He currently lives in Pasadena, Calif., has its own architectural practice and serves as a senior in the local Armenian churches.
